What is Gastric Sleeve????

Yup Im back!!

Gastric Sleeve is a surgical weight-loss method in which the stomach is reduced to about 25% of its original dimension, by surgical elimination of a great piece of the stomach, following the major curve.
The open sides are then attached together (often with surgical staples) to form a sleeve or tube with a banana structure.
The operation permanently reduces the size of the stomach.
The procedure is performed laparoscopically and is not reversible.

I wanted to show with the picture above what the doctors did so you can better understand. It was very painful at first but now it is more soreness than anything else. For the first two weeks after surgery all I can have is liquids. Water, pudding, jello and protein shakes. Here are the protein shakes that I am drinking that I like.

1: Pure Whey Champion Nutrition... Cookies and Cream flavor is the best.
2: EAS Chocolate... good when you mix it with chocolate soy milk, YUMMY!

If you get tired of drinking protein shakes then Propel water is really good. They have great flavor if you're not a fan of plain water. They say I can have popsicles but they have to be SUGAR FREE. I can also have 100% juice concentrate but you have to add a little more water than what the directions say. So guess what I made? I made my own popsicles with the 100% juice. I went and got some ice trays and poured the juice into the trays. Let me tell you that those home-made popsicles are so yummy. So, that's a quick look at what my menu will be for these first two weeks. I will not weigh myself until my doctor's appointment on August 9, which will be my two week checkup. Looking forward to seeing the results of all this sacrifice I'm makin.  So, stay tuned and can't wait to share. Stay positive!!
